Some habits
come with
a soundtrack
Unholy Bends — noise we're not sorry about, built to never go in a straight line.
No real plan
Honestly, there was never one. I just kept turning whatever I was feeling into something I could record.
It started with Hop On
Young, in love, no idea what to do with either. Then Oblivion happened because I still didn't know what my sound was.
Then something clicked
Velvet Skies is where I actually found my sound. Full story's on the Universe page.
Velvet Skies

Playing Generator on Oct 9 with Breaking Sound. Already thinking about what could go wrong.
Free show, no pressure
Played a free set at Supersonic. No pressure, they said. There was pressure.
Still hearing it
Went back and reread old Oblivion lyrics. Immediately regretted it. Some things you write should stay unread.

Universe.
Every project starts as a question. Unholy Bends is just me answering it differently each time.
Honestly, there was never really a plan. I just kept turning whatever I was feeling into something I could record. Hop On happened because I was young, in love, and had no idea what to do with either of those things. Then came Oblivion — I still didn't really know what my sound was, so I let every track sound like something different and figured that was the answer for now. Somewhere between that and Velvet Skies, things kind of clicked. The noise got a bit more honest, closer to what I actually wanted to make.
I still don't have this mapped out, for the record. What you're hearing is just whatever version of me existed on the day it got recorded.
How it bent
Hop On
Young, in love, no idea what to do with either. One of the first things I made after stepping into music.
Still Beating
A Mac DeMarco cover, put out right around Valentine's Day, fresh off a breakup.
Oblivion
Still didn't know what my sound was, so every track went its own way. Co-produced with Ow Feng.
Velvet Skies
The noise got more honest. First sign of the album that's coming next, co-written with Ow Feng.
New single + an EP taking shape
Still being recorded, still bending as it goes. More on the Releases page.
Fragments
"Another game I fancied losing."
— Hop On"My heart still beats for you, even though you don't feel it."
— Still Beating"No you won't see me beg, darling."
— Oblivion"What kind of spell am I under."
— Velvet SkiesNothing here goes in a straight line — and that was always the point.
